Public-sector buyers published 160 construction works contracts with a combined stated value of £131.5 million on Find a Tender between 26 October and 1 November 2026, according to the Cabinet Office's open contracting data.

The contracts came from 101 buyers in 158 notices. Of the 160 contracts, 158 stated a value, and together those were worth £131,453,404. The other two gave no usable value and count towards the number of contracts but not the total.

The week before, 19 to 25 October 2026, the same count found 144 contracts with a total stated value of £174.4 million.

The median stated value was £100,000, meaning half the valued contracts were worth more than that and half less. 22 of the valued contracts were worth £1 million or more.

How the figures were compiled

The figures come from every notice published on Find a Tender, the UK government's procurement notice service, between 26 October and 1 November 2026, read from its open contracting data feed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Only signed contracts that the buyer classified as construction work are counted; notices of an intention to award, supplies contracts, frameworks and awards naming four or more suppliers are excluded. Values are as stated in each notice, excluding VAT where given and otherwise including VAT, which applied to 18 of the 158 valued contracts. The figures cover only contracts public bodies have published; private-sector contracts and public contracts not yet published are not included.
